We have tried to answer the questions of our guests that we have been asked to do in the past.

Question: Can I bring my pet?

Whether dog or cat, bird or hamster - your darling is usually welcome. When making the booking request, select the option and let us know what kind of pet you would like to bring with you. For this falls for the pet an overnight stay.

Question: Where can I park my car?

On the opposite side of the street to our pension are public urban parking areas for a fee (maximum parking time 4 Hours). You can request the Long-term parking Card from us. Furthermore, there are 2 parking spaces (8.00 Euro / night) in about 200 meters away. A reservation is recommended. In addition, you will find in about 450 m in the direction of Schwerin Castle the large old town parking lot for a fee. In the Bornhoevdstrasse in about 600 m you will find a free parking lot.

Question: Which means of transport are available to me?

There is a bus stop just 50 meters away that takes you to the castle, Marienplatz or train station and back again. You are welcome to purchase the Schwerin ticket with us on site, which not only allows you to use the entire Schwerin public transport or Pfaffenteichkreuzer free of charge, but also in many Schwerin attractions such as the Schwerin. Schloss und Dom received reduced entrance fees.

Question: How long is a single ticket valid?

The single ticket for the city network or the district network is valid for 45 minutes from validation. The single ticket for the entire network is valid for 60 minutes from validation.

Question: How long is the Schwerin ticket valid?

Question: Will Deutsche Bahn tickets be accepted?

Only tickets with the imprint "Schwerin + City" are valid.

Question: What is recognized as a legitimation with a photograph?

Always the original of the identity card, driving license, annual pass of the White Fleet, annual pass from the zoo, social security card; Copies can not be accepted.

Question: How can I come from the central-train-station to Pension Karina

You can walk reach the pond "Pfaffenteich" in about 20 minutes on the road "Zum Bahnhof" and then straight across the "Röntgenstaße", then "Taubenstraße", then "Lehmstraße" to the "Werderstraße" on the opposite on the street side is Pension Karina. By bus line 10 from the central-train-station to the bus-stop "Hospitalstraße" - journey time approx 8 minutes - in 50 m direction castle is the Pension Karina Schwerin By taxi from the central-train-station you drive approx 3 minutes

Question: Do I have to pay taxes (visitor's tax, etc.) or other charges in the city of Schwerin?

All taxes and duties are already included in the room price. For bookings made after 6 May 2014, our guesthouse has to pay a so-called bed tax or overnight tax for actual overnight stays. 5 % of the charge levied by the guest for the overnight stay - minus the value added tax - is calculated as overnight stay tax for the guest and paid by us to the state capital Schwerin. Tax-exempt are occupationally conditional overnight stays of business travellers and overnight stays in clinics, hospitals, spa and rehabilitation facilities. Business travellers pay the tax-adjusted price on the spot against suitable proof. You can download the forms for a suitable proof here.
