We guarantee a 24 hour check in by prior arrangement

(Early) Check-in

Unless otherwise agreed, we expect your check-in between 15:00 and 22:00. On the day of arrival you will receive an SMS from us with the agreed check-in time on the mobile phone number you have provided if your room is ready for occupancy. If you want to change the time of arrival at short notice, you only need to respond to the SMS. We will try to welcome you as personally as possible. Should this not be possible, we will send you an SMS with a door opening code. So you are flexible and even a night trip would be possible at any time. Please always quote your mobile phone number when booking. Please understand that we can not guarantee a room service before 3 pm as early check-in. But you are welcome to leave your luggage with us in advance and may already receive the room key for later use. If you want to get your room guaranteed between 9-12 am as early check-in, then this is only possible after availability and prior arrangement.

  • The room rate will increase by 60% on guaranteed Early Check-in from 9:00 to 12:00.

(Late) Check-out

Check-out includes key collection, bill payment and check-out at the reception in the café. The normal check-out time is 10 o’clock. If you wish to leave the hotel later than the normal check-out time, please let us know in advance. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to extend your stay. This is due to the fact that our pension is fully booked and all rooms have to be cleaned on time.
Late check-out is chargeable and will be charged after the commencement of the hour. From 5pm the regular room rate will be charged per night.

Question: How long is a single ticket valid?

Question: How can I come from the central-train-station to Pension Karina

You can walk reach the pond "Pfaffenteich" in about 20 minutes on the road "Zum Bahnhof" and then straight across the "Röntgenstaße", then "Taubenstraße", then "Lehmstraße" to the "Werderstraße" on the opposite on the street side is Pension Karina. By bus line 10 from the central-train-station to the bus-stop "Hospitalstraße" - journey time approx 8 minutes - in 50 m direction castle is the Pension Karina Schwerin By taxi from the central-train-station you drive approx 3 minutes

Question: Do I have to pay taxes (visitor's tax, etc.) or other charges in the city of Schwerin?

All taxes and duties are already included in the room price. For bookings made after 6 May 2014, our guesthouse has to pay a so-called bed tax or overnight tax for actual overnight stays. 5 % of the charge levied by the guest for the overnight stay - minus the value added tax - is calculated as overnight stay tax for the guest and paid by us to the state capital Schwerin. Tax-exempt are occupationally conditional overnight stays of business travellers and overnight stays in clinics, hospitals, spa and rehabilitation facilities.
